We grew up on three coasts. Hạ Long in the north — limestone, fishing boats, salt thrown by wind. Hội An in the middle — calmer, the smell of brackish river water under the lantern light. Phú Quốc in the south, the warm dawn after a typhoon when the air tastes briny and sweet at once.
